AAO Vice President of Advocacy and General Counsel, Sean Murphy, J.D., earned his second professional award of the year, representing the good work and unmatched advocacy conducted by AAO staff for its members.
Murphy was awarded the 2019 In-House Counsel Award by the Missouri Lawyers Media on Nov. 8. This award showcases Murphy’s successes in navigating complicated dental laws, steering advocacy efforts, and overseeing the AAO’s legal and advocacy activities. Honorees included Missouri attorneys from a broad range of industries and organizations operating throughout the state.
He was also recognized with the 2019 Leading Association Lobbyist Award, which goes to outstanding executives who help accomplish their organization’s advocacy and grassroots initiatives, by Association Trends in March.
